CECT i9+ Touch Screen Repair

Around 9 months i ordered a cect i9 quad-band gsm phone, which is also unlocked. Has a dual sim card slot, so u can use it as a business phone and personal phone with your t-mobile account, and at&t account. It's a great phone overall, and i've love using the Opera web browser to browse the internet on it while anywhere with cell phone connectivity. Includes bluetoth, JAVA, and FM radio, 1.3MP camera and video recorder. Upto 8GB of memory with a microsd memory card.

photocell + LED array

I'm highly enjoying playing around with the led array created in the last post. New images and videos at the end of the post.

It's quite simple. 7 LED's on a protoboard, that create a visual bar graph of 0 - 100%

led's and pote's!

Might as well evolve another breadboard project onto perf-board.

This time its an led-array controlled by a potentiometer. This is one of the arduino.cc tutorial projects [link] that is recommended for completion for a fuller understanding of some basics of what an avr micro controller is possible of. More after the break.

Proto-fondling...

Been messing around tons with the prototype boards i have laying around. Just recently i hooked up my lcd controller to the arudino via a 'shield' type addon, which simply rests on top.

Whats all this about?

So lately ive gotten pretty interested in a little piece of magic called an Arduino [click here for the wikipedia link.]

Pretty much it is just a microcontroller (a small computer) that will take an input, and accordingly (given a set of commands) give an output. It's a very basic principle, and many things can be accomplished with it. Your own programmed tasks can range from flashing an LED, update you with info via a text message from a mobile cell phone, and most recently posted on hackaday.com be used to grow algae. These are just things very creative people have come up with, but honestly the possibilities are endless as to what can be done.
